Governing Rules
- USSSA Baseball rules govern unless specifically modified by TBA.
Time Limits
- Regular season: no new inning after 1:50.
- May reduce to 1:45 only by coach agreement before first pitch.
- Playoffs: standard 1:50 time limit.
- World Series Finals: best-of-three; no new inning after 2:30; six-inning expectation.
Extra Innings
- Regular season games may end in a tie when time expires.
- Postseason games must continue until a winner is determined.
Run Rules
- No maximum runs per inning.
- Mercy rule: 15 after 4 innings.
- Mercy rule: 12 after 5 innings.
Game Format
- All divisions are kid pitch.
- All divisions use open bases.
Lineups
- Teams may play with a minimum of 8 eligible players.
- No maximum roster size.
- All players listed in the starting lineup must bat.
- Players not in the starting lineup begin as substitutes.
Substitutions
- Active batting lineup players may freely rotate defensively.
- Bench players enter only as direct substitutions.
- Substitutes assume the batting spot of the player replaced.
- No partial-inning defensive substitutions except injury, illness, ejection, or emergency.
Complete Game
- Official after 4 complete innings.
- Official after 3.5 innings if the home team is leading.
Home Team
- Each team should be home once when opponents play twice.
- Home designation applies regardless of physical location.
- If only one matchup is played, hosting team is home unless agreed otherwise.
Baseballs & Umpires
- Home team should provide 2 new baseballs; visitor should provide 1.
- Home team secures umpires.
- Umpire fees split equally at the plate unless otherwise agreed.
Judgment calls remain solely within the authority of the game officials and are not subject to protest or review.
